This is an amazing share. As a musician in recovery, I read many parallels to my own suffering, my own despair. I read a way out here. I have a hyper imagination & am very tuned in to Infinitude but definitely feel that pull back to Finitiude, wrestling between possibility & necessity. I also think what can happen is that a person can be moving in possibility & get yanked to Earth by the gravitational pull of other people’s values, beliefs, concepts & ideas steeped in ‘learned’ necessity. My music project Beware Of Gods is rooted in a warning against those ‘Other Gods’, the Gods of necessity that are more demons than Gods and incessantly act on our Higher Selves dragging us back to a Limited space, limited interactions, stunted imagination, stunted growth. This reading was extremely healing & inspiring. I think I have some lyrics brewing from this. I will definitely share with you upon completion.
I love learning from you, Jack. Also curious where these questions lead you! How do we synthesize possibility and necessity today?
Thank you for writing!
