Yes AND! What I find so compelling about this is that it speaks to my wont to detach, withdraw, and acquiesce in the face of oppression, fear, chaos, calamity. I think a premature reading of the eternal yes may very well lead to a despair that doesn’t move us forward, but rather keeps us stuck. The despair is necessary, yes; but I have grown conveniently immobilized at moments. The “ yes and” is precisely the pivot toward praxis and action.
